I have been a licensed real estate agent since 1978 and obtained my broker’s license in 1981. In addition to becoming a top producer, I also managed real estate offices in the ‘80’s. My early success in managing real estate offices redirected my efforts to developing and managing real estate brokerage businesses. I have spent over 25 years building a small branch office from a one agent shop to the number one local real estate brokerage company in market share and number of agents.
I recently made the transition to Valley Real Estate Brokers with the position of Principal Broker because I feel, much as I did over 30 years ago, that it is time for another approach to the real estate brokerage business, more in keeping with the current times, demands, and needs of both the public and today’s real estate agent. A different approach, but a “better different.” We are currently working to expand our operations and have already opened a second branch office in Lexington, consistent with our mission of providing our clients with a viable, well-represented, regional real estate experience.
I am a lifelong resident of this beautiful part of the Shenandoah Valley, and I love to share my appreciation and knowledge of the quality of life that is available here to my clients, both new and old.
My wife and I raised our son in the Valley, he is a product of Valley schools. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and now resides in nearby Charlottesville, Virginia, with his wife and daughter. My wife and I are active in the community and in our church. My personal hobbies and interests include golfing, hunting, fishing, UVA sports, playing the guitar, and spoiling my granddaughter.
